Hi mrloon

I passed my test earlier this month, and didn't find mod2 difficult, but mod1 is the hard bit. Only if your unprepared Shocked
I had 2 goes at mod1 the first time I wasn't prepared or had done any practice, but the second time I passed without any faults and I thought it was easy on the 2nd attempt. Preparation is the key to the bike tests, put in the effort and you'll pass.

I can understand the decision to reassess the bike test though, compared to when I first started biking in the 80's this test is a killer Laughing

Hi James

Costs are: Theory test= £45??( can't remember) Mod1 = £15.50, Mod2= £75.00 for your A2 licence, Obviously if you do the DAS it's the cost of training, bike hire and the test fees.££££££

I booked all mine on the internet with the DVLC, you just put in where and when you want to do the tests and pay. simples

Preparation is the key to passing the test yourself, there are quite a lot of videos on utube for Mod1, Mod 2 is just putting in the life savers in the right places, keeping to the speed limits and confidence on the road, there are other tasks as well like overtaking, islands and exits, left and right turns and hill starts. But it's just a case of swatting up on the highway code and practice. The tests are the same except DAS is on a 500cc bike and the outcomes are slightly different 2 years at 33bhp for the A2 or a full licence with DAS to ride whatever BHP you want.
